Davide Salvatico - Architect

Davide, italian of Portuguese origins, graduated in architecture at the Polytechnic of Turin;

three years before graduating he began working as a freelancer in Italy and abroad, specializing in the field of architectural design and furniture, both in the residential and commercial sectors.

From 2004 to 2008 he moved to Florence and in 2009 to Milan, currently dividing his time between Milan and Salento.

His contemporary approach is based on the recognizability of the gesture, which does not implement mimesis but becomes present and recognizable through forms and technique.

He studies and applies new decorative concepts, satisfying the need to re-invent decoration and make it an architectural element to be applied in modern and deconstructed environments, creating a game of contrast between the philosophy of subtraction of the contemporary project and the richness and pictorial rhythm of the decorative element.

"I think that architectural space should be understood as a vital, modern space, which must be shaped according to the needs of those who want to experience the concept of contemporaneity with feeling."
